If Blind Gaurdian and Dream Theater had a coked-out offspring I would name him DragonForce. I have never felt so empowered to cause vigiliantee mayhem as I did after listening to the album Sonic firestorm. The last time I felt such intense metal was that terrible first blow job experience by Mary Jane ‘Tin-Grin’ in grade 9 in the girls locker room. Since then I forgot the glee that came with such an intense and trivial experience. The gutair solo’s scream Bodom in places, but the clean melodic vocals express a authentic dungeons and dragons feel and put’s songs like Fury of the Storm in another category of epic. As said, similar to Dream Theater or Blind Gaurdian, only better.

The album has 8 face-melting songs, 1 ballad, and 1 bonus track. Songs average about 6 minutes with atleast 3 minutes worth of blazing dual guitar solos per rip. The drummer must have legs the size of a small cattle, because he plays as fast or faster then the guitarist’s which is no small feat. I highly recommend checking this band out, as well as giving a listen to their other albums Valley Of the Damned and the newest record Inhuman Rampage which drops on the 20th of June in North America. Great name for their next album, because these guys should be considered metal gods. They will be touring in North America with Protest the Hero as support this summer and I will do everything in my power to get to their show at the ampitheatre even if I can’t find my tights and make up. Put it this way; I would punch a small child to see this band.
